Examination Board What Means
We must make the best of the present moment, embrace the default medium, savor the gains rather than mourn the losses, and communicate optimism to our students. A sentence in an early email to all my classes summed up this theme: We must adapt to circumstances beyond our control and make the result equal to if not superior to the former model. I reinforce this belief in everything I do. If I dont embody belief, student morale will falter and performance will suffer. The forces of apathy and detachment must be met and defeated in the forest before they reach the gate. I must and will anticipate their approach and plan accordingly. Student success depends on many factors, not the least of which is the teachers attitude and work ethic. We could argue all day about whether or not digital pedagogy can ever be anything but a simulacrum of real teaching, but I doubt we would spend a second debating the importance of a good attitude in either method. Whats good? Many things. In no special order, here are a few: Students need no introduction to technologya big thing their teachers dont have to worry about. Moodle released a decent overhaul just before COVID 19 hit home.

He refused to be taken to the doctor. Not necessary, he insisted. Havent been to a doctor in thirty years, and I aint starting now! But he was too crippled to resist, and his children took him to get help. The doctors soon discovered that he had broken his back but not for the first time. He had, in fact, fractured his back twice previously, and healed, without ever getting help. This anecdote strongly suggest that hard working people are truly tougher maybe a lot tougher than us sedentary folk. We may be lot more prone to injuries and complications. It sounds like Im exaggerating, but its probably literally true. Bed sores do not take all that long to form. Ask any nurse. They are underway within a couple hours, and people who log serious time in chairs are almost certainly flirting with pressure sores its just that they are easily prevented with relatively little movement.

I always had an inclination for railway scenes; probably back from the days when I played with the model railroad at my grandfathers house. So, tracks need to be on the diorama, thats for sure and as well as something track bound. By Antonio Busciglio | 09. 12. 2018 11:31 The model I wanted to build was the version that ran on the Tour de Corse in 1984 season, driven by Attilio Bettega who lost its life in the same car during the 1985 season with Cresto as a co driver. The Martini livery makes this car absolutely stunning, but also quite demanding for the modeler. Moreover, the only plastic kit available on the market is the not so recent Hasegawa kit. In my opinion Its quite well designed, easy to assemble parts, good general fitting, good materials quality. However. By Michael Mandau | 08. 09.

Great Expectations does not take us into the Sublime, as Shakespeare and Cervantes do. It wants to return us to origins, painful and guilty as perhaps they must be. The novels appeal to our childlike need for and recovery of the self, is nearly irresistible. The why of reading it is then self evident: to go home again, to heal our pain. The ultimate answer to the question Why read? is that only deep, constant reading fully establishes and augments an autonomous self. Until you become yourself, what benefit can you be to others?Because, by now, this play makes us an offer we cannot refuse. It has become our tradition, and the word our there is enormously inclusive. Prince Hamlet is the intellectuals intellectual: the nobility, and the disaster, of Western consciousness. Now Hamlet has also become the representation of intelligence itself, and that is neither Western nor Eastern, male nor female, black nor white, but merely the human at its best, because Shakespeare is the first truly multicultural writer. Reading Shakespeares plays, you learn to meditate upon what is left out. That is one of the many advantages that a reader has over a theatergoer in regard to Shakespeare.
